Written with two main purposes in mind, firstly to help those who struggle with homosexuality and secondly, to assist those involved in ministering to people caught in such gender confusion. The author draws from his own experience both prior to coming to Christ and as he has walked with the Lord. He is convinced that few people are emerging from adolescence with a secure understanding of their sexuality and often the church does little to aid those who are in confusion. He insists that homosexuals can change, by the grace of God, and sometimes slowly and adds that it necessitates always the help of others, Christian brothers and sisters. He grounds all in a confidence in the renewing love of God to which we must submit ourselves. He says that God thus changed him,”I stand in awe of my heavenly Father’s capacity to effect change and to uphold me in his love along the way. This journey from a homosexual to a heterosexual identity has been revelatory’. The book combines personal testimony with Biblical truth and is candid in its approach. It pulls no punches. The message of the book centers is the church being empowered by a Holy God to call the sinner to repentance and then heal that soul, not by psychological talk but through a living relationship with that Holy God through our Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit. True gender identity ( our life) emerges truly through Christ alone. In Christ we are crucified and in Him we live being raised so that the true ‘I’ including its true sexual orientation comes forth. Focusing upon the Holy God and coming into His presence brings the soul to understand its need and the process of redemption and the healing begins. The value of this book is in the fact that it bases all deliverance in ‘the knowledge of the Holy’.
