R.T.Kendall has written many books and a number of them are transcripts of some of the preaching ministry he gave through his years at Westminster Chapel in London and Spring Harvest, one of the large yearly conferences that take place in the UK.  BELIEVING GOD contains thirty chapters and is a condensation of a series of messages given on Hebrews chapter eleven.  This is still available new.  Another book I would mention has the title THE GOD OF THE BIBLE and a few copies are available new at utterly ridiculous prices as are the second hand copies.  It is a small paperback that again are transcripts of messages he spoke on the first eight chapters of Romans, the Gospel of John, the Book of Acts and the Book of Daniel.  As always this author has something valuable to say and he says it in readable style.  He took over the pastorate of Westminster Chapel London from Martyn Lloyd Jones in the early 1970’s.  During his tenure in that church he opened to a more Charismatic emphasis through the ministry of Arthur Blessitt.  This led to many tensions in his congregation and in time to his need to receive and practice forgiveness.  In ways, these facts emerge in all that he writes.  Joseph Thon, a Rumanian pastor was a great help to him as he passed through his personal crises.  A good many of Kendall’s books are laced with personal anecdotes and illustrations; these are helpful.  Although he retired back to his native USA in 2002 .he is still in demand as a speaker.  For those who desire to read books that unfold the truth of scripture in an accessible style Kendall is a very good way to do so.
